Crane Lake and the Voyageurs National Park area has every option for the beginner or experienced fisherman. 40% of the park’s 341 square miles are considered aquatic habitat that’s ideal for fishing and the surrounding area is no different. The 30 named lakes in the park consist of 4 large lakes and 26 smaller lakes and contain a total of fifty-four different species of fish.

There might be 54 total species of fish in the area but these fish are what the locals go fishing for. Fish for a select species or just fish to fish. Regardless, you’ll enjoy your natures beauty and if you’re hungry and have a little luck go home with a limit of great eaters.
